There was a massive Wicklow Athletics imprint on the Scalp race with most of the Wicklow clubs well represented and Sli Cualann and Kilcoole AC athletes occupying 5 of the top-11 spots (it would have beeen 5 had Belmont winner Noah Harris not DNFed ) and Emily Ryan (Parnell) taking 2nd spot in the women’s race.

We had 7 runners in action as well as Lee Borland and Sinead Boland from Wicklow Wolf Run Club (who represens Bray Runners and Kilcoole AC in their day jobs). Laragh native Martin Cullen also ran well to finish 31st.

Philip O’Brien made his debut by being first man across the post. Tivon Tyner – son of Angus – also made his IMRA debut running for Setanta Orienteers. Glendalough AC dominated the M55 category where Angus took first and Alan 3rd.
