Hills were the menu for this weekend: on the roads of Kerry and the flanks of our local Sugarloaf.
SUGARLOAF WINTER
Club man Graham Bush had scouted out a new course avoiding the newly busier summit (after the introduction of the staircase to the top) which seemed to be very well received.
We had a ‘lucky’ thirteen on the long course along with coach Rene Borg running the short course with son Cillian and collected category podiums galore (5) with Joe winning the M70, course creater Graham 2nd M55 (ahead of club mate Angus in 3rd), Loraine 2nd in the F45, and Kevin Ferguson 3rd in the M40. For Alan this was enough for 3rd M55 in the winter League overall and Joe Lalor winning the M70 trophy.

GAP OF DUNLOE HALF-MARATHON
Siobhan Brennan and Fiona Smyth travelled to the Kingdom for the tough Gap of Dunloe Half organised by Hardman. Siobhan got a 1:58:27 PB in her debut (roughly equivalent to a 1:50 on a flat course) with Fiona running her PB (from Dingle) close to a few seconds.
