This is a short add-on to the last report featuring two big races – the Wicklow 10 km championship, and the second of the two European Masters Mountain Running Championship races that Graham Bushe took part as well as the Medieval Marathon in Kilkenny where Lucy Neill had a great marathon outing!
THE LAKES 10 KM
Eight GMAC runners competed in the first Wicklow County 10 km championship hosted by Lakeshore at The Lakes 10k in a field of three hundred and forty-four. Aaron Cullen was 3rd overall in the championship race and our first man home overall with Huw Thomas also in the top-30. He and Jimmy both secured individual gold in their categories with the men’s team of Aaron, Huw Thomas, Jimmy, David and Colm getting Team Bronze in the MS category. The women also fared well with Claire and Christine taking individual bronze in the F35 and F70 categories while they combined with Monica for team Bronze as wel.

EMORRC CLASSIC
Graham Bushe raced in a field of one hundred and ninety on the Sunday of the EMORRC improving his category position from Friday from 12th to 6th and taking a team silver medal with the Irish M50 team.
